After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Opelousas Catholic, St. Edmund was happy to have turned things around  on Friday. They took their  game  with ease, bagging  a  60-0 victory over the Berchmans Academy Saints. The  matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Fighting Blue Jays had established  a  54-point advantage.

It was another big night for  Nathan Zaunbrecher, who threw for 294 yards and five  touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes. Those  five  passing touchdowns gave  him a new career-high. 117 of  Zaunbrecher's passing yards were hauled in by Jackson Landry, who also brought in a  receiving touchdown.
 St. Edmund was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 230  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 189  rushing yards in five consecutive  contests.
St. Edmund's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Berchmans Academy,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-5.
