Alpha - East recap November 5, 2013
Connor Simpson and Breland Brandt provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Paraclete. The longest such play in Alpha - East this season, the connection resulted in 80 yards.
The Spirits scaled the state rankings by moving to 325 from 356 this week, the biggest jump in the league. Paraclete climbed the ranks as a result of defeating Windward 49-12.
The Wildcats' Simpson and Austin Webster led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-3 quarterback Simpson has thrown for 1,508 yards this season, while Webster has 42 catches for 655 yards. Eli Stern from Brentwood School leads the league in rushing with 493 yards.
The top two teams in Alpha - East will face off this week when first place Windward takes on second place Paraclete. Windward lost to Norm Dahlia's team last week, while Norm Dahlia's team topped Windward.
The Eagles and Marshall played the most contested game in the league this week, with the Eagles eventually emerging with a 31-28 victory.
