The Logan Wildcats''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 35-14 loss at the hands of Chapmanville Regional. Logan lost against Chapmanville Regional in their previous head to head back in October of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 49-7 score last time.
Chapmanville Regional's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jeremy Collins, who rushed for 159 yards and a touchdown. Another player making a difference was Andrew Topping, who rushed for 103 yards.
Logan's loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 1-7. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 8-0 Scott and 7-1 Winfield (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 68.8% over those games). As for Chapmanville Regional, their victory bumped their record up to 4-4.
Logan will head out on the road to face off against Wayne at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Chapmanville Regional, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mingo Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in West Virginia (Mingo Central is ranked 27th, while Chapmanville Regional is ranked 50th).
