Given Ossining's advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 353rd, while Port Chester is ranked 726th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Makhi Rotella-white was the offensive standout of the match as he scored 17 points. That's the first time this season that he scored 15 or more points. Acalan Fauntleroy was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Ossining's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Port Chester, they are on a 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.
Ossining won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Pearl River at 3:00 p.m. on January 20th. Pearl River is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. As for Port Chester, they will be playing at home against Saunders Trades & Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
