The St. Xavier Bombers had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.3 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. Everything went their way against Springboro as St. Xavier made off with a 35-13 victory. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-6.
St. Xavier was led to victory by Steven Napier and Jacob Britt. Napier rushed for 65 yards and two touchdowns, while Britt rushed for 133 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.3 yards per carry. Andrew Weber also deserves a mention for his punt return touchdown.
St. Xavier's win was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 7-4. Admittedly, the team didn't face the toughest opposition across those games, namely Springboro, Trinity Catholic, and La Salle. As for Springboro, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season.
St. Xavier will play host again and welcome Archbishop Moeller, where Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Springboro does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
