Last Monday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Trinity Christian beat Chambers Academy 45-40.
Trinity Christian can attribute much of their success to Brandon Riddle, who scored 27 points along with 4 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Riddle has scored at least 25% of Trinity Christian's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Hammett, who scored 4 points along with 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Southern Prep Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by Macon-East Montgomery Academy 64-19.
Bessemer Academy's victory bumped their season record to 0-0 while Trinity Christian's loss dropped theirs to 1-6.
Trinity Christian suffered a grim 53-28 defeat to Southern Prep Academy in their previous matchup back in January of 2022. Can Trinity Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
