It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Bell Eagles had no problem doing just that on Friday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 56-20 win over Diego Rivera.
Leading Bell to victory were Deven Lopez and Erick Stubbs. Lopez rushed for 150 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, while Stubbs rushed for 230 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries. Stubbs really tore up the turf during one magnificent 70-yard run. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Martinez, who rushed for 55 yards and a touchdown.
Bell's win bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Diego Rivera, they bumped their record down to 5-5 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Bell will take on Fremont at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Diego Rivera does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
