The King's Academy Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell 41-33 to Ector.
When it comes to explaining why King's Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Everett Hollis. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. Hollis scored a full 36.4% of King's Academy's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Jordan Tucker, who scored 7 points along with 10 rebounds.
King's Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for Ector, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.
King's Academy is on the road again on Saturday and play against Oakwood at 9:30 a.m. on December 9th. As for Ector, they will take on Miller Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
