Canyon View hasn't had much luck against Sunrise Mountain recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Jaguars will challenge the Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Canyon View comes in on eight and Sunrise Mountain on 18.
Canyon View is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They put the hurt on Verrado with a sharp 3-0 win.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-12, 25-14.

Canyon View got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Isabella Hedrick out in front who had 11 digs and four aces. That's the most digs Hedrick has posted since back in October. Tatum Kinard was another key player, getting 17 assists and three digs.
They weren't the only good servers: Canyon View was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in seven consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Sunrise Mountain made easy work of Buckeye on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 win.
One reason for the win was Sunrise Mountain's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-8, 25-6.
Canyon View better focus on containing Kami Milner and Aubree Manning as the pair were huge in Sunrise Mountain's win. Milner had 11 digs and three aces, while Manning had 11 digs.
Canyon View's record now sits at 27-10-3. As for Sunrise Mountain, their record is now 33-3.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Monday's contest: Canyon View has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 7.7 aces per game. However, it's not like Sunrise Mountain struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.3 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Canyon View came up short against Sunrise Mountain in their previous matchup back in October, falling 2-0. Can the Jaguars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
