Western Missouri recap October 22, 2013
Midway extended the longest winning streak in Western Missouri this week by beating Butler, 40-7. The victory was the eighth in a row for the Vikings.
Adrian and Sherwood played the closest game in the league this week, with Adrian eventually emerging with a 22-20 victory. Austin Corley ran for 180 yards in the win.
Osceola's dynamic duo of Driston Self and Thane Sommer proved tough for Cole Camp to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Self threw for 55 yards and 1 touchdown and Sommer had 55 yards receiving.
Corley was a passing and rushing force as the Blackhawks beat the Marksmen.
5-foot-10 quarterback Dakota Jones of Archie is the league leader in passing yards this season with 571. He has also thrown 5 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Jacob Thompson. The Rich Hill star has 25 catches for 363 yards.
Drexel took down Summit Christian Academy 60-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
