Union County was the  11-10 winner over West when they last played one another  back in April of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Union County Patriots took  a  5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the West Rebels on Monday. Union County has now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

 At the plate,  Ty Edds was cooking despite his team's loss,   going 2-for-3 with a  home run,  an  additional RBI,  and a  double. Another player making a difference was  Tucker Flanagin, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.
 On West's side,  Griffin Smith looked comfortable as he  tossed 2.1 innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Mason Dugan, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of  Owen Winters, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-3.
 Union County has  fallen quite a ways from their 32-10 record last season and are now  at 1-3. As for West, their win  ended  a  seven-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 2-6.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Union County will take on Northview Academy at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for West, they will be playing at home against Sequoyah at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
