The South Gallia Rebels had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They put the hurt on Valley with a sharp 60-37 victory on Monday.
Morgan Lyons was the offensive standout of the game as she scored 20 points along with 8 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tori Triplett, who scored 15 points.
South Gallia's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Green the next time they take the court. Valley will host Green at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while South Gallia will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
