Baseball Recap: DME Academy Victorious

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but DME Academy ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the IMG Academy Silver Ascenders, sneaking past 7-5.

Rodrigo Berron was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Shiloh Gallimore was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one double.

DME Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That somehow still isn't as good as their 23-6 record this season. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.33 runs across that stretch. As for IMG Academy Silver, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-9.

Coming up, DME Academy will head out on the road to face off against TNXL Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. As for IMG Academy Silver, they will be playing in front of their home fans against The St. James Performance Academy at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
