The Crystal River Pirates managed to keep up with the Nature Coast Tech Sharks until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Crystal River suffered a tough 65-43 defeat at the hands of Nature Coast Tech. Crystal River has not had much luck with Nature Coast Tech recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Several Pirates players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ej Jenkins, who scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zachary Hamilton, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds.
Crystal River has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for Nature Coast Tech, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Crystal River will be playing in front of their home fans against Citrus at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Nature Coast Tech, they will head out on the road to take on Weeki Wachee at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Weeki Wachee will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
