Las Vegas faced Bishop Gorman in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 16-7 margin over the Gaels. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won ten games by six runs or more so far this season.

JOSEPH PONTICELLO looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on BRYDEN BULL, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 4-for-5. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was JUSTIN ROMERO, who scored a run while going 2-for-5.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Las Vegas, bringing their record up to 16-5. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Bishop Gorman, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-8.

Las Vegas will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Gaels: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
