Mater Bay Academy won the last time they faced Colonial Christian and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Mater Bay Academy Rays simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Colonial Christian Patriots 80-50. The Rays have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 25 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mater Bay Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kevin Rodriguez, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jose Echane, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 boards.

Mater Bay Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 24 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Colonial Christian only racked up 11 assists.

When it comes to explaining why Colonial Christian lost, don't look at Ryheem Chisholm. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. Jayshon Bonne-Anne also deserves some recognition as he scored his first points of the season.

Mater Bay Academy's victory bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Colonial Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

Mater Bay Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 49-34 win against Cushman on the 22nd. Colonial Christian has also already played their next contest, a 69-48 defeat against Pinecrest Glades Academy on the 23rd.
