The Freeport Red Devils lost against Syosset back in February of 2020, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Freeport ended up on the wrong side of a rough 60-36 walloping at the hands of Syosset. Freeport has not had much luck with Syosset recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the loss, Freeport still got an impressive performance from Jayden Gordon, who scored 11 points. Gordon scored a full 30.6% of Freeport's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Freeport has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Syosset, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Freeport will be playing at home against Farmingdale at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Syosset is on the road again on Monday and play against Hempstead at 5:00 p.m. on January 8th. One thing working in Hempstead's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last nine contests.
