Nipomo won against Santa Ynez  last Thursday with 17  runs and they decided to stick to that  run total again  on Tuesday. Everything went the Titans' way against the Santa Maria Saints as they made off with  a  17-1 victory. Considering the Titans have won six games by more than nine  runs this season, Tuesday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Alyssa Van Muysen was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run and  allowing only two  hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while going 3-for-4.
 In other batting news,  Vivianne Goss was  incredible,  scoring three  runs while going 3-for-3. That's the most  runs  she has posted since back in March of 2024.  Camila Acosta also deserves some recognition as  she  got her first  hit of the season.
Nipomo is  on a roll lately: they've  won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record  this season. Those  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Santa Maria, their loss was  their third straight on the road, which  dropped their record down to 4-9.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Nipomo will  challenge  rival San Luis Obispo  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average (the Titans 3.4, the Tigers 3.9) so any  runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Santa Maria is set to  square off against  their familiar foe Morro Bay  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
