Borger is 0-5 against Randall since January of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Borger Bulldogs will look to defend their home court against the Randall Raiders at 6:00 p.m. The timing isn't great for Borger: they have been struggling with 17 straight losses at home dating back to last season, while Randall has snatched up 12 consecutive wins on the road.
Last Tuesday, Borger took a serious blow against West Plains, falling 83-46. Borger has struggled against West Plains recently, as their match on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the defeat, Borger had strong showings from Tahqulin Brooks, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds, and Kaeden Jennings, who scored 21 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Brooks is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last 15 games he's played.
Meanwhile, Randall stacked a 16th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They breezed by Perryton on the road to the tune of 95-43. Given Randall's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 20th, while Perryton is ranked 498th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Borger's loss dropped their record down to 2-23. As for Randall, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 games, which provided a nice bump to their 27-3 record this season.
Borger was taken down by Randall 118-55 in their previous matchup back in January. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Borger was down 57-29.
