This season hasn't been kind to the Ellicott Thunderhawks, who are still winless after their fourth match. They were the victim of a rough 57-35 defeat at the hands of Sierra Grande on Friday. Ellicott was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Sierra Grande apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Defeat or not, Ellicott got some senior leadership from James Bourgeois who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds and Conagher Briggs who scored 2 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals.
Ellicott's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Sierra Grande, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Ellicott will be playing at home against Colorado Springs Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sierra Grande's road trip will continue as they head out to face Kim/Branson at 3:00 p.m. on December 9th. Hopefully Kim/Branson focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Friday.
