The Green Bobcats will head out on the road to challenge the Huntington Huntsmen at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Huntington took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Green, who comes in off a win.
Green scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They claimed a resounding 73-32 victory over East on the road. The win was just what Green needed coming off of a 51-16 loss in their prior contest.
Green found their leader in underclassman Abbie Knapp, who dropped a double-double on 45 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Knapp has scored all season. Matti Hayslip was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, Huntington fought the good fight in their overtime game against Adena on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 34-31. While losing is never fun, Huntington can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 300th, while Adena is ranked 88th).
Green's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Huntington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-6.
