Shadow Mountain has gone 9-1 against Moon Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Matadors will square off against the Rockets at 4:00 p.m. Shadow Mountain is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12 runs per game this season.
Shadow Mountain took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They blew past Goldwater 19-9. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Matadors as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Shadow Mountain let Chloe Stumbo and Hannah Sheehan run wild. Stumbo went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs, while Sheehan got on base in four of her five plate appearances with five RBI and three runs. Those four RBI gave Stumbo a new career-high. Alanna Strickland was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and three runs.
Shadow Mountain always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .525. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in four consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Moon Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They came up short against Greenway, falling 19-0.
Moon Valley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maggie Lovelis, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double. That double was Lovelis' first of the season.
Moon Valley's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Shadow Mountain, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 8-5.
Moon Valley's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Shadow Mountain hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .329. It's a different story for Moon Valley, though, as they've only averaged .196. Will they be able to contain Shadow Mountain's hitters?
Everything went Shadow Mountain's way against Moon Valley in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, as Shadow Mountain made off with an 18-3 victory. Will the Matadors repeat their success, or do the Rockets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
