The St. Mary's Rams will head out to challenge the Lodi Flames at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Having struggled with four defeats in a row, St. Mary's turned things around against Ben Holt College Prep Academy on Monday. They walked away with an 11-7 win over the Bobcats. Considering the Rams' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Matea Muraoka was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, three doubles, and one stolen base. Those three doubles gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Maya Garcia, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Meanwhile, Lodi got the win against Kimball on Wednesday by a conclusive 11-1. With that victory, the Flames brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.
Lodi got a massive performance out of Tealla Rivera, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Ellie Schallberger also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Lodi always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kimball only posted an OBP of .316.
Lodi pushed their record up to 13-5 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for St. Mary's, their record is now 5-12.
St. Mary's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's game. The Rams have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.9 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Lodi, though, as they've been averaging only 0.8 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will St. Mary's continue to outrun the ball?
St. Mary's might still be hurting after the 9-3 loss they got from Lodi in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Rams avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
