It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Dawson-Boyd ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They skirted past the MACCRAY Wolverines 4-3. Winning may never get old, but the Blackjacks sure are getting used to it with their 11th in a row.
Nathan Hansen made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with three RBI.
In other batting news, Eli Olson was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Holland Schacherer was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs.
Dawson-Boyd's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-2. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 7.6 runs.
