The Lake Travis Cavaliers will square off against the Akins Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Akins took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Lake Travis, who comes in off a win.
On Friday, Lake Travis sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Westlake.

Julianna Rodriguez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ella Smith, who went 1-for-3 with one home run. Madison Pinzon was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Meanwhile, Akins might've scored the first runs on Friday, but it was Bowie who claimed the real prize. The Eagles took a 14-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. While the Eagles didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bulldogs 6-0 in the first period.
Hailey Rae Ramos led a balanced group of hitters, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-5. She also put up an RBI, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Brianna Yanez, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.
Lake Travis has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-9-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Akins, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.
Everything went Lake Travis' way against Akins in their previous meeting back in March, as Lake Travis made off with a 6-0 victory. Will the Cavaliers repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
