Last Wednesday, Joliet Catholic had to suffer through a rough 64-27 loss at the hands of Carmel. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Joliet Catholic in their matchups with Carmel: they've now lost eight in a row.
Despite the defeat, Joliet Catholic had strong showings from Sophia Mihelich, who scored nine points along with two steals, and Symone Holman, who scored seven points.
Meanwhile, Seneca's game on Thursday was all tied up 21-21 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They managed a 41-37 win over Midland. The win made it back-to-back wins for Seneca.
Joliet Catholic dropped their record down to 5-26 with that defeat, which was their tenth straight at home. As for Seneca, their win bumped their record up to 16-14.
Joliet Catholic came up short against Seneca in their previous meeting back in February of 2020, falling 40-36. Can Joliet Catholic avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
