Bradshaw Mountain has been on the road for nine straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Mohave Thunderbirds at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Bradshaw Mountain is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Mohave in Arizona (Bradshaw Mountain is ranked 101st, while Mohave is ranked 260th).
On Tuesday, Bradshaw Mountain's game was all tied up 21-21 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They enjoyed a cozy 57-43 victory over Lee Williams.
Bradshaw Mountain can attribute much of their success to Mason Hunt, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds and three steals, and Preston Ranniker, who scored 21 points along with five steals. Hunt is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Jayden Blasczyk, who scored six points along with five rebounds and two blocks.
Meanwhile, Mohave's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their sixth straight loss. They suffered a tough 71-51 loss at the hands of Lee Williams. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Mohave has suffered since December 4, 2023.
Despite their loss, Mohave saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Adrian Loya Pulido, who scored 17 points, was perhaps the best of all. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Loya Pulido has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Pedro Marentes, who scored 13 points.
Bradshaw Mountain's win bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Mohave, they bumped their record down to 4-11 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Bradshaw Mountain beat Mohave 48-35 in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Does Bradshaw Mountain have another victory up their sleeve, or will Mohave turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
