Bessemer City entered their tilt with Cherryville on Monday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Cherryville Ironmen, posting a 66-29 win. The Yellow Jackets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 24 points or more this season.

Leading Bessemer City to victory were Tionna Pettus and Kionna Pettus. Tionna dropped a triple-double with 24 points, 12 boards, and 12 steals, while Kionna dropped a double-double with 18 points and ten rebounds. That makes it 22 consecutive games in which Tionna has scored at least a third of Bessemer City's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Izzy Escomirosa, who posted seven points.

Bessemer City pushed their record up to 14-11 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.8 points over those games. As for Cherryville, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-16.
