Cleburne County had to start their season on the road  on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell  27-14 to the Sardis Lions. Sadly, the  loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it eight in a row.
 Cleburne County didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Karston Williams and  LYRIC WARE. Another thorn in Sardis' side was  Camden Beam, who made 11 total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defended one pass.

The  victory  got Sardis back to even at 1-1.
 Cleburne County and Sardis will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. Cleburne County will  face off against  rival Handley  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Meanwhile, Sardis is set to  challenge  their familiar foe Arab  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
