After flying high against the Job Corps Titans last Friday, the Patterson Institute Lions came back down to earth. Patterson Institute ended up on the wrong side of a tough 45-25 walloping at the hands of Immanuel Christian on Tuesday. Patterson Institute has struggled against Immanuel Christian recently, as their game on Tuesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
It was another big night for Ben Story, who scored 14 points for Immanuel Christian. That makes it six consecutive games in which Story has scored at least 25% of Immanuel Christian's points. Another player making a difference was Carlos Acu?a, who scored seven points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Patterson Institute's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Immanuel Christian, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 12-1.
Patterson Institute will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Fort Hancock at 6:30 p.m. on January 9, 2024. Immanuel Christian's road trip will continue as they head out to face Fabens at 10:30 a.m. on December 14th. Fabens is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
