Having just played yesterday, the Coolidge Bears will jump right back in to play the Ogallala Indians at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
On Thursday, the stars were shining brightly for Coolidge in a 72-53 win over Vista Grande. Given Coolidge's advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 79th, while Vista Grande is ranked 267th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Ja'kwan Jordan, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 14 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jacob Bojorquez, who scored 19 points.
Meanwhile, Ogallala put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They snuck past Shadow Ridge with a 67-61 victory.
The victory makes it two in a row for Coolidge and bumps their season record up to 11-2. As for Ogallala, their win bumped their record up to 8-0.
