Calvary Christian strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Clearwater Central Catholic Marauders. That 11 run margin sets a new team best for the Warriors this season.

Katie Kapusta spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up 12 Ks.

At the plate, Julia Tamulski was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits she has posted since back in February. Isabella Stewart was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Calvary Christian hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Clearwater Central Catholic struck out 12 times.

Calvary Christian's win was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-0. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.9 runs on average over those games. As for Clearwater Central Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Calvary Christian will host Lake Brantley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Warriors 1.4, the Patriots 2.6) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Clearwater Central Catholic, they will be playing at home against Hollins at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Royals have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.58 runs per game on average), something the Marauders will no doubt try to take advantage of.
