Midland had already won 12 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it 13 on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Brinkley Tigers a 17-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won 17 games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Midland's win bumped their record up to 18-8. As for Brinkley, they dropped their record down to 5-13 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Midland will venture away from home to square off against Heber Springs at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Brinkley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
