Las Plumas entered their  matchup against Gridley  on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Thunderbirds took  a  21-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. While the Thunderbirds had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Bulldogs  14-7.
 Las Plumas'  defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of  Branden Robinson, who threw for 204 yards and two  TDs, and  Prem Ball, who picked up 49 receiving yards and one  score.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Gridley to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Eli Punzo, who threw for 93 yards and a pair of  touchdowns, and also rushed for 63 yards.  Isaac Punzo helped out on the ground, rushing for 91 yards.
Las Plumas' loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Gridley, their victory was  their fourth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 9-0.
