Salem led 6-0 at halftime, but the Flying Forts recaptured the lead on a two-point conversion with 9:00 remaining in the third. SHS finally took the lead for good as it ran for a touchdown with 6:00 left in the third quarter.
Both teams scored eight points in the third quarter, so the margin remained at six entering the fourth.
Fort Edward's lone touchdown came on a 52-yard run in the third quarter.
The Generals got revenge for last year's 12-0 loss to FE with the victory.
The win was a nice bounce back for Salem, which lost to Warrensburg last week, 14-13.
Fort Edward (2-3) will play a Section 2 D - North game against Warrensburg next week, while Salem (2-3) will take on Hoosic Valley also in a Section 2 D - North game.
