The Tescott Trojans will face off against the Cunningham Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Tescott sitting on five straight victories and Cunningham on nine.
Tescott extended their postseason success on Friday against Waverly. They walked away with a 52-45 victory over the Bulldogs. The score was all tied up 19-19 at the break, but Tescott was the better team in the second half.
Tescott's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Carter Peters, who rushed for 73 yards and two touchdowns, and also picked up 60 receiving yards. Tescott also got a significant boost from James Dickerman, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 116 yards.
Meanwhile, Cunningham put the finishing touches on their ninth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They blew past Pawnee Heights 70-6 at home.
Their wins bumped Tescott to 7-2 and Cunningham to 9-1.
Tescott was dealt a bruising 50-0 loss at the hands of Cunningham when the teams last played back in September. Can Tescott avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
