The River Ridge Royal Knights and the Zephyrhills Bulldogs squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but sadly the River Ridge Royal Knights had to settle for second. They were beaten by the Bulldogs 75-27. River Ridge was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-12.
River Ridge's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was THOMAS DELORETO, who scored six points. Another player making a difference was JOHN GOLDEN, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
River Ridge has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 12 of their last 15 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season. As for Zephyrhills, their win bumped their record up to 14-11.
River Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Zephyrhills is on the road again on Thursday and plays Cypress Creek at 6:00 p.m. on February 8th. One thing working in Zephyrhills' favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matchups.
