The Etiwanda Eagles will look to defend their home field on Friday against the St. Bonaventure Seraphs at 7:00 p.m. Etiwanda will be strutting in after a win while St. Bonaventure will be coming in after a defeat.
Etiwanda can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They took down Damien 51-36. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Dermaricus Davis had an outrageously good game as he threw for 389 yards and three touchdowns while completing 76.9% of his passes, and also punched in three touchdowns on the ground. Another player making a difference was Myles Tarkington, who picked up 148 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, St. Bonaventure unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Oaks Christian by a score of 13-10. The match was a 3-3 toss-up at halftime, but St. Bonaventure was just barely outscored by Oaks Christian in the second.
Despite the defeat, St. Bonaventure had strong showings from Koen Glover, who gained 95 total yards and a touchdown, and DJ Doss, who picked up 48 receiving yards.
Etiwanda's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for St. Bonaventure, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 7-3.
