The Sierra Chieftains will head out on the road to challenge the Fresno Christian Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sierra's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for 13 straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
Friday just wasn't the day for Sierra's offense. They suffered a rough 10-0 defeat at the hands of Fowler on Friday. Sierra has not had much luck with Fowler recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Meanwhile, Fresno Christian also failed to score in their most recent game. They were the victim of a tough 4-0 defeat at the hands of Chowchilla on Tuesday. Fresno Christian has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Sierra's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-13. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only scored zero goals over those five contests. As for Fresno Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-16-2.
