Mound-Westonka put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victor by a 74-54 margin over the Monticello Magic. Given the White Hawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while the Magic are ranked 27th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

When it comes to explaining why Monticello lost, don't look at Rhys Nebben. Despite the final result, he posted 12 points and eight rebounds. Trevon Singer was another key player, putting up 16 points.

Mound-Westonka's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0. As for Monticello, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Mound-Westonka wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 49-36 win against Two Rivers on the 14th.
