The Eduprize Open Eagles put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Varsity Opponent 93-47 at home. Eduprize Open might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won six matches by 27 points or more this season.
Aj Thomas was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 26 points and 15 rebounds. The contest was his fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Khalon Johnson, who scored 19 points along with 3 steals.
Eduprize Open has yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 9-0 record. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 85.3 points per game. As for Varsity Opponent, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 96-365-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eduprize Open will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Skyline Prep at 7:00 p.m. on February 22, 2024. Varsity Opponent is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Empowering Others Prep at 7:00 p.m. on December 6th.
