Centerville will challenge Ridgewood on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. Centerville is expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the contest prepared for a fight.
Centerville took care of business in their home opener. They took the matchup and then some with a 54-19 win last Friday. They was expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Meanwhile, Ridgewood couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were completely outmatched, falling 0-59 to St. John.
Centerville's victory lifted them to 1-0 while Ridgewood's defeat dropped them down to 0-1. In their victory, Centerville relied heavily on junior Andrew Cuvillier, who rushed for 169 yards and 3 touchdowns; a key strategy for Ridgewood will lie in finding a way to minimize his impact.
