They came out on top against Keswick Christian by a score of 63-52. American Collegiate Academy pushed the score to 44-23 by the end of the third, a deficit Keswick Christian cut but never quite recovered from.
Marcus Green had a dynamite game for American Collegiate Academy, dropping a double-double on 42 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tristan Townsend, who scored 11 points along with four steals and two blocks.
Despite the loss, Keswick Christian still got an impressive performance from Cooper Craig, who scored 17 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Craig has scored all season. Ian Richardson was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with two steals.
Even though they lost, Keswick Christian were working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
The victory makes it two in a row for American Collegiate Academy and bumps their season record up to 8-3. As for Keswick Christian, they dropped their record down to 4-12 with that defeat, which was their 11th straight at home.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. American Collegiate Academy on the road again on Thursday and play against Bayshore Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 18th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Bayshore Christian is ranked 564th, while American Collegiate Academy is ranked 587th). As for Keswick Christian, they will head out on the road to take on Indian Rocks Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Indian Rocks Christian is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 54.8 points per game.
