Volleyball Recap: Olney Gets the Win

Olney took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Parkway Center City, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Trojans had just enough and edged out the Bulldogs 3-2. This was payback for the Trojans, who suffered a 3-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Olney was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-13, 21-25, 25-16, 15-6.

Olney's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Parkway Center City, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Olney will head out to challenge Frankford at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. The Trojans are facing the Pioneers at the right time seeing as the Pioneers are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Parkway Center City, they will venture away from home to take on Mastery Charter South co-op [Mastery Charter Lenfest/Mastery Charter Thomas] at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
