The Middletown Islanders won the last time they faced the Toll Gate Titans, and things went their way on Thursday too. Everything went Middletown's way against Toll Gate as Middletown made off with a 70-49 victory. That looming 70-49 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Middletown yet this season.
Toll Gate lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Dylan Perreault , who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 15 rebounds. Perreault set a new season high mark in steals with three. Brayden Healey was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Even though they lost, Toll Gate were working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Middletown pushed their record up to 4-2 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.7 points per game. As for Toll Gate, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
