The Goose Creek Gators were the 46-42 winner over the Wando Warriors when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Goose Creek fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 56-54. Goose Creek has been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.
Several Gators players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Aiyanna Moses, who scored ten points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabby Curtis, who scored 12 points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wando to victory, but perhaps none more so than Isabel Waite, who scored 15 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Causey, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 14 rebounds.
Goose Creek's loss dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Wando, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-12 record this season.
Goose Creek will head out on the road to face off against the Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Stratford is out to stop a six-game streak of losses at home. Wando does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
