The Manchester Township Hawks came tearing into Wednesday's match with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 61-28 win over Pinelands Regional at home. Manchester Township has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 23 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Devyn Quigley, who scored 24 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. That makes it 15 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Manchester Township's points. Madeline Nolan was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with four steals.
Manchester Township's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.8 points per game. As for Pinelands Regional, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Manchester Township and Central Regional will face off at 5:30 p.m. on January 26th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Central Regional will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New Jersey Rankings (they are ranked 271st, while Manchester Township is ranked 75th). Pinelands Regional will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Brick Township at 5:15 p.m. on January 26th.
