The Union Local Jets will challenge the Monroe Central Seminoles at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing isn't great for Union Local: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home, while Monroe Central has snatched up four consecutive wins on the road.
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Union Local and St. Clairsville meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Monday. The Jets fell just short of the Red Devils by a score of 10-8.

Alli Kellaway was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and one stolen base. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played. Khloe Gallagher was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two RBI and one double.
Monroe Central let Shadyside stack seven runs on them in the fifth inning on Monday but luckily Monroe Central prevailed anyway. The Seminoles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-9 victory over the Tigers.
Allie McFredrick made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off seven hits. McFredrick was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Kennadi Jorris was incredible, going 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Jadyn Miller, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.
Union Local's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Monroe Central, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.
