Softball Recap: Gleason Triumphs

After losing to Bradford the last time they met, Gleason decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Bulldogs walked away with a 7-4 win over the Red Devils on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Brinley Lehmkuhl was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-5. Another player making a difference was Marley Crews, who scored a run while going 4-for-4.

Gleason always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .550. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Gleason's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-6. As for Bradford, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-5.

Coming up, Gleason is taking a road trip to face off against Union City at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Bradford, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West Carroll at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Red Devils are facing the War Eagles at the right time seeing as the War Eagles are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
