After having lost a blowout in their previous game against PikeView, Princeton was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Everything went their way against the Summers County Bobcats as they made off with a 15-5 victory. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now won three in a row.
Princeton got a massive performance out of Landon Crane, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Crane has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Jackson Lester, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Princeton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .564. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Summers County only posted an OBP of .407.
Princeton's victory bumped their record up to 5-23. As for Summers County, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-19-1.
Looking ahead, Princeton will square off against Nicholas County at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Grizzlies will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Summers County, they will challenge Liberty at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
